For the sake of rice

In the Philippines, you can't buy rice just by having your hard earned money. You had to have embarrassing moment like lining up for rice under the heat of scorching sun or under heavy rain to be able to buy 2 kilos of the staple. A waste of time and effort for these deserving taxpayers. Too bad for an agricultural country who shares technology to its neighboring countries.

The government claim to have plenty of rice. But why Filipinos have to suffer these humiliations?
